Hello!
I'll tell you the truth: The english class finished one week ago (my final mark was 6,1... on a scale from 1 to 7), for that reason I didn't write here for a time.
Now, why I'm writing here again?
Because I enjoyed having a blog again (I had one time ago but I closed it) and I'll post things here... let's see how many time will last the idea.
And I'll write all that stuff in english because I'll do some practice...
Cheers!

Let's watch some videos :D
Hello guys!
The topic of today is about videos, it can be funny, educative, motivational, sad, depressing, bored... WHATEVER. VIDEOS!
So the deal is it. I will share a couple of my favourite ones. So let the show begins...
YuGiOh! GX Abridged - Jaden's Rap
In first place I must talk about the "abridged" concept. It is about a summarized serie, for example, if the hero of the story kills the enemy in 5 episodes, on an abridged saga it happens in 5 or 10 minutes. There are on youtube some channels of people who made "abridged" versions of anime shows like Dragon Ball Z, YuGiOh and Pokemon (You can search the TeamFourStar or the CardGameFTW ones).
This video is a rap "sang" for Jaden Yuki, the starring character of YuGiOh! GX (one spin-off of YuGiOh) made for the people who created the abridged version of that show. My brother send my that video last year, when he found all the abridged series, and the truth is I cannot stop laughing of the badass attitude of Jaden (he already have that in the original anime but in this case he's just a gangster). And I like the lyrics too, one of my favourite parts is: "My inner demons, yeah, you gonna' run when you see them".
Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time: Meatball Massacre.
Do you wanna learn how to cook? Do you wish to have fun in the kitchen while you make delicious food? Or do you have too much energy and/or rage on your being? Well, the time is now.
Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time is a Youtube Channel with a lot of cooking tutorials. What's the deal? You will learn to make food with all the Swedish force. I discovered that channel 3 years ago because one friend and I talked about funny videos and metal music.
I think I can cook like the guy of the video, I have all the qualities: I like to eat, I like metal music and I have enough energy to make a hyperventilated, and maybe rage overdosed, cooking time :D Weeks ago I was cooking some noodles with my boyfriend so I put the sauce and stirred the food like a crazy tornado... and, for my surprise, the food tasted so freaking good! So, with more practice, I'll make a POTATO CAKE DISASTER FROM HELL... yeah, I invented this way to talk about an innocent and quiet potato cake.
Hungry?
And a bonus track for all!
The end of semester is coming fast so we need something to keep wake up all the time. Red Bull isn't enough? TRY POWERTHIRST.
I discovered Powerthirst speaking with my boyfriend and, in a couple of days, he, my brother and me were using the phrases of the 3 videos for hours. There are 3 videos, my favourite one is the second part but here is the first one for you to know all about this drink (Is a real one but the video is fake... and funny xD).
You will feel
UNCOMFORTABLY ENERGETIC
And that's all... see you next time :3
P.S: SNAKE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYES xD

London tour (At least this I think I did)
Last class we did a webquest for the creation of a London Tour, we planned a schedule for one week with places of the city, we choosed if we'll visite them in the morning or the day/late (or all day long in one site), we searched some data about the ticket price and the nearest subway station we can find to arrive and we searched new places to go.
The quest was very funny, I like the searching process and I started to test (for naming it in some way) the information design of the websites (some of them were clear, other were disastrous). Some websites had common sections (for example, the arriving information zone) and were planned considering the creation of tourictic schedules. The easy part was finding the nearest underground train station to arrive to the place we like and the cost of the tickets (some places were free). The hard part was searching the section of the station and choosing the correct ticket for the tour (not the "vip" ones, the kids ticket and all the discounts).
The task made me laught a little because I started to imagine how I could be as a tourist guide... maybe I'll make my group get let lost in the city with me in some moments.
With all this stuff I started to wish again to visit London, when I was 16 that was one of my dream travels. One friend went to that city 2 years ago and I saw some of her photos... I felt a little jealous XD well, one day I'll do that travel. Now I discover some new places to go.
And here is a blurry photo of a Big Ben model I made on 2007 (or 2006?) with a cat xD well, I wanted something related to London and, also, funny.
Have a (insert something here) day!

Questions and answers
When someone is a little child is normal to feel curiosity about some topics and create a lot of possible answers. I wasn't an exception so I always made some questions (And now I'm still asking, about other topics but always having the curiosity, no matter if I'm bothering like a fly). With all my questions I had some crazy theories which still make people laugh when I say them.
For example, when I was little, I always saw a lot of girls on an school bus. The teacher notified them when the bus approaches and she always talked to the driver so, in my childish mind, I concluded the driver was the mother (or father) of all these little girls. So my following questions were: How their family supported them? How many toys they bought? How many food, clothes, soap... DAMN, A LOT OF MONEY... for a lot of noisy and playful children.
I make the same questions when I see modern families with a big number of children because every year the basic things for life are getting more and more expensive than before (back in the day, things were cheaper so the number of childrens was bigger, my mother has 4 brothers and sisters and my father has 6).
And, still in the topic of children, I knew that a married couple have a child (today I know they don't need to get married but maybe the influence of my school gave me the first idea). Now, when they wanted another child... they need to get married again? I thought in the ritual a strange force made womans got pregnant and have kids EXACTLY 9 MONTHS after the phrase "Now you can kiss the bride"... maybe the kiss, maybe the priest (?!?!), maybe the flowers... bleh. The point was: Do you want a kid? Get married. Do you want another? Get married AGAIN. That means clean the dress and the tuxedo, invite people again and bake a wedding cake... mmm... cake :D Now I don't think marriage is a first priority (if I get married, I'll only do the civil ceremony because I don't like religious ones), I'm too young for that... but I'll buy a big cake (like the wedding ones) for me because I love desserts :yummy:
Finally, when I was a little girl, I though the names were unique for everyone: I'm the only one who have the name "Fernanda", my brother is the only one named "Domingo" and all this stuff. One day I watched TV with my family and a woman had sung on a stage... and her name showed up on the screen: She was called "Fernanda" too, and I got mad because she "stole" my name... MY NAME!
When I started school that theory got broken because I had 7 classmates named Constanza, 3 classmates called Francisca, 3 classmates called Consuelo... and 2 classmates called Fernanda so... well, I was wrong, it doesn't need big explanations.
Yes, when someone is little and don't know about some topics, our imagination gave us some crazy answers. The important things are still keeping our curiosity and creativity alive, following the knowledge road and discovering new elements.
Maybe someone starts to losing the amusement hability when gets old and thinks he can't use imagination but, as Friedrich Nietszche said, "The maturity of the man is when he has came back to find the seriousness he played with when he was a boy".
Have a good weekend!

An education... some people needs that.
Today we don't have classes because of the strike (today, for one more time, the TV news only showed the incidents and not the matter of the manifestation ¬¬X) so we watched a movie.
This movie, called An Education, shows the story of Jenny, a girl who loves art, french, books and music but don't have the freedom to feel her fandom as she wish (her father don't let her be... is I have to say it in some way). She wants to go to Paris, go to the clubs and play some music.
In a rainy day she meets David, a guy who helps her to go home, they talk about music and he invites her to go to a club in Friday night. Jenny, since this moment, started to know a new world with arts, music, travels and a lot of pretty things... but with a cost.
I don't want to make an spoiler about the movie but I have to say the girl was lucky. In the real world a lot of guys and girls make mistakes, ruined their lifes and don't have second chances.
And let's talk about education. A lot of young people can study because the university is too expensive and some of them must freeze their careers because the money they have is not enough for pay all the costs of education in this country... and this girl almost throw her chance to the trash for a man?! COME ON!!
Oops, I made some spoiler...
Well, the movie have some good things, the places was too pretty, some of the music was fine and, in a part of the movie, sounded the "Relax-o-vision" song (If you have seen Freakazoid you will understand xD).
I feel a little angry about the story, I promise next post will be more "cheerful"... maybe.

If you've got a taste for terror... take Carrie to the prom
To be honest, the first thing I thought when I saw the number of the film was the Europe band song, however, was impossible a connection between both Carries because the song was written on 80's and the film was created on 70's.
Carrie was a movie directed by Brian De Palma and starred by Sissy Spacek (John Travolta was acting on this film too), based on a Stephen King book and had its premiere on 1976. It's about a quiet and shy girl called Carrie White who have to stand the mistreatment of her mother, a religious fanatic who thinks her daughter is a deliver of sin, and of her classmates due to her shyness, weakness and a particular event: She started her menstruation on the school dressing room and all the classmates laughted and throw to her a lot of tampons and sanitary napkins. For that, all the girls of the class received a scolding from the teacher and Chris (the leader of the attack) was punished being banned of the prom party. Chris wants to take revenge for the punishment who a teacher give to her for the incident of the tampons and, with the help of her boyfriend Billy, humilliate Carrie in front of all the students, teachers and parents prensent on the prom dance. In other side, Sue (one of the Carrie classmates) tries to correct her mistake and insists to her boyfriend to take Carrie to the prom dance.
Her mother didn't tell her about menstruation so was normal Carrie got scared a lot.
On the film we can see Carrie have a secret: She discovers her telekinetic powers and them appears when she concentrates energy at some points (for example, she stare at a child who laughted at her and she attacked him). Carrie practice her powers away from her mother because she got mad when saw Carrie using them (her mother said her powers was a curse of Satan) and, at the same time, tries to be more sociable to go to the prom.
I don't want to tell the end of the film but I have to say that the special effects of the film are totally according to the decade xD If you can, take a look to the movie and the book.
Why I like that film? I feel a kind of empathy with Carrie, in a lot of circumstances I have wished to have a resources or the physical force to punish people who bothered me, however, I was so shy in my school days (mostly on primary) and I can't say nothing.
The other reason I like this film (and a less "sad" one) is the fact that you don't need a lots of monsters or a lots of weapons to make people scare, you can make unexpected things to do that possible, it's more like a psychological terror.
And, finally, this movie increases my opinion about the crazy and illogical things who religious fanatic people do... just look at the Carrie's mom, forcing her daughter to pray every night and blame her all the time for feeling "impure".
Have a (insert something here) day!

When some bands play music, Rammstein are burning
Sometimes is hard for me to choose one of my favourite bands because I have a lot of them on my list but I decided to talk about this one because I was listening to them a lot of years ago, I met some people with its music, is the only one I saw in a concert and maybe I don't listen to them a lot as I did years ago but I have an special "love" for this band. For this reasons, and because they're great, I'll talk about Rammstein.
Rammstein is a german Industrial Metal band (is a kind of metal which includes some elements of electronic music) of 6 musicians: Till Lindemann on voices, Richard Kruspe and Paul Landers on guitars, Oliver Riedel on bass, Christoph "Death" Schneider on drums and Christian "Flake" Lorenz (my favourite one) on keyboards. They debut was on 1996 with the Herzeleid album and, since them, they release 5 more studio albums (Sensucht, Mutter, Reise Reise, Rosenrot and Liebe is für alle da), 2 live albums (Live aus Berlin and Vörkerball) and, the newest one, a greatest hits (Made in Germany) with a new song called "Mein Land". Almost all their songs are in german because they consider their own language as a perfect one for metal (Oliver said "French is the language of love, German is the language of rage"), a couple of times they sung in english but that versions didn't have the same impact as the original ones, they sung in spanish too on the song "Te quiero puta!" and had a duet in german and russian on the song "Moskaw". The topics of their songs are politics, sex, sarcasm, SM (Sadism and Mazochism), religion and some basic instincts like fight or survival.
This band is famous too for their concerts because they use fireworks, fire launchers and other pyrotechnical elements, for example, on the song Mein Teil the vocalist "cook" the keyboard player on a big and flaming pan. For that all the integrants of the band had to study and train about the use of fire for avoid accidents on stage and for the public (specially the nearest ones to the main stage).
I like Rammstein because mix perfectly metal music and electrodark elements, they have amazing CD covers, I love the german language (It gives some stregth to their songs), they have a great performance on their videos and on stage, when I saw them live on 2010 was a great moment, the music was intense and the fireworks made the sky brighter, no matter the fact the concert started at 21:00 hrs, and the performances of the integrants were so funny (I always say Till and Flake are the masters of showbiz xD) and, can sound sentimental, but their songs went with me in some moments of my life when I was on the last years of school and when I started college (when I met one of my oldest friends in college we started to talk about Rammstein a lot). Besides (with bands like Slayer, Kreator, Sepultura and Brujería) Rammstein is a band that I listen to when I need to "free" all my rage because I'm an irritable person sometimes xD
The other thing I like is they lyrics because they talk in a particular way about certain topics. For example the song "Zwitter" ("Hermaphodite"), one of my favourites, talks about a person who explains the advantages of having the elements (physical and mental ones) of both sexes (in one part of the song he talks about giving a bounch of roses to himself).
The thing I hate about Rammstein is the primitive and basic idea of some people about "German thing=Nazi" ¬¬ I have to argue with classmates a lot of times because of that.
And before I finish, there a video of their concert on Chile.
Have a good day and let's rock!
Yeah, they look quiet on this photo... but they're not always on this way xD

About some Pokemon memories
I took this photo on a Pokemon Con on 14th January of this year called Pokemon Day, the first Pokemon related big event realized on Chile with videogame tournaments, cosplay, merchandising, contests and other things. I went with my brother Domingo (but he left the place one hour after we arrived because he needed to went to the train station). One of the stands of the event had a lot of decks of the Pokemon Trading Card Game, some of them was of the older collections (the left-sided ones) and another was newer (the right-sided ones). I like this photo because, as I said, have a mix of cards generations, some special editions and a lot of memories I have about the game.
When I was little I loved Pokemon, with my brother played the videogames, watched the TV show and played the Trading Card Game (or TCG). I don't remember if it was on 2002 or 2003 when we saw the first Pokemon TCG Deck on sale, we bought it and played until my mother saw us with the cards, she got angry because she thought TCG was a lost of time and money but, with the pass of the years, she give up with that idea (or maybe not, sometimes she says that). We played a lot of times, participated on little championships of Osorno and bought a lot of cards for create new decks but one day my brother finish school, left the home and started to study on Santiago. I was alone and lost the motivation to play because I don't find people who play that TCG (I knew people who played Raw Deal TCG, another cards I played with my brother, and I played with them).
On 2008 I finish school, came to Santiago and my brother lived with me and my mother again, however with all my homeworks and a little bit of lazyness I don't played anymore. Now I'll try to come back to the game because we found a lot of cards so I have to create a new deck, I want to play Pokemon TCG again (maybe with the decks of the Con I got some motivation xD), for other side, my brother and my boyfriend (another pokemon fan, he is like a human pokedex) are waiting for me to play.
A funny thing about the photo was my brother and I wanted to buy some decks, I wanted one of the older editions (The Lock Down theme deck) and my brother one of the new ones. The special editions, as we expected, was expensive but we got surprised when the saleman said us that the old decks price was $12.000 chilean pesos. Quickly our plains of buying cards vanished, we don't have much money and...
COME ON! Back in my days that deck's price was $9.900 chilean pesos!
Maybe that the famous thing called "The nostalgia price"...

My own working center
Hello!
Yes, I am agree with the idea of technology as a simple mechanism (not exactly a big big machine on a factory) but I have to say something important too: The machine isn't the importance on this topic, the main deal is the useful things and the help that brings to your daily life.
For this reason I going to talk about an obvious kind of technology (the most known, maybe) which I needed with urgency. I talk about a common notebook.
When I started my career I don't have internet and an own computer. Months after I started with the college we have an internet conection on our house, which I used for reunions with my classmates, checking the e-mails (and u-cursos) and searching some information for my works. Yeah, Internet was a big help to me but I didn't have my own computer yet so I had to wait for my bother and my mother who used the computer of the house for work and leisure. When they used it for fun when I needed it, for example, to delivery a homework with urgency I got really angry (and when I'm angry you have to looking for a place to hide, I warn you). The other problem was the storage of the disk, my design softwares was occupying a lot of memory on the CPU and my brother got angry too and said that the future problems of storage will be mainly my fault. And finally privacy... oh, please, I hate when someone stands behind me and sees what I'm doing! If a talk with a friend, if I'm searching some music or some series, if I read some blogs... COME ON! I don't use the internet for porn XD
But with all this problems I wasn't able to get mad because we don't have enough money for a new computer.
For my 21th birthday one of my aunts (and also, one of my neighbourgs) gave me a notebook (Notebook Dell Inspiron... and I don't remember anymore) for a kind of reward to all the effort on my career. It was a really good gift because I can now go to my bedroom to work and have skype reunions with classmates, install all the software I want without worries of another users with the storage, customize the wallpaper, the bowser and the folders, work on the university with the notebook (but this gave me fear on the first days because I don't wanted to lose it or be a steal victim), play the games I want, have all the music I want... and a lot of things. Without my notebook I would back to use another computer and now this bothers me because I don't feel free at all and I can't use it quietly. Maybe it sounds mean but I am used to have my own work center and I don't feel confortable when I wanna do something but another person says me a lot of time that the storage is full for my fault.
Now this notebook has one year and one month with me and I am so happy with it and I used it with another gadgets like pendrives, headphones and a tablet pen. Is like a tech-bunker XD No, I don't stay far of the people with it but I can play and work without problems.
P.S.1: Sorry if I wrote a big text but I felt inspired XD
P.S.2: I have to draw some things for this posts

Taking a look on BBC english learning website
Hello friends!
Today we had to visit the BBC's english learning website, taking a look on the quizzes, articles, episodes of their mini show (The flatmates), and other features. After that, we had to write our opinion of it.
When I started to check the website I think fastly on the big number of sections and features, taking a lot of aspects and kind of teaching the language. I entered on the "Express english" feature and the first thing I saw was an article about computer games, I think that's so important to remember, we learn english going to classes but we can learn it and use it in our freetime, for example, reading books, playing games or singing songs. I liked the fact that the website talked about it too.
As I said, one funny way of learning is playing, so here I found a lot of games for training language skills. There were a lot of them, like thematic crosswords (about rock music or witches for example), common quizzes or a game called "beat the keeper" (you can read the instructions before playing). I played the crosswords and I checked the hints sometimes (hints are clues you can see if you are a little bit lost on the game) and, when I finished, looked the answers. In the case of the "Beat the keeper game" I found it funny and easy to play, so you can recommend it to a friend who has problems with the learning of the language.
Leaving for a while the games topic, I found tips for teachers and guides. So, if you are teaching english to someone you can check the website and seach tips and download some texts for english pronunciation, grammar, listening and more. That topic it's so important for me because I think that the teaching methods need to be in constant change, innovation and dynamic for reach the principal goal: Make the people learn about something and remember it for a long time.
Finishing the review, I highly recommend this website. You can find a lot of useful things for learning, read and debate opinions, topics and looking the english language applied on creative things (I found a thematic callendar with photos, reviews and data). You can use it for learning, teaching and, also, have a funny time. So come on and give a chance to this site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/
Have a nice day!

Ok, that made me laugh (I would do it if I wasn't on the classroom that time xD).
Another useful thing I found was The Flatmates, the mini show on the website. You can read and/or listen to the episodes (there are almost 200... well, that's not exactly a "mini show") and then you can vote on a little survey available about a question about the current episode. You can download the texts and the audio archives and use it wherever you want.
Tim, don't be stupid and feed the kitty well...

Funny learning, here we go!

Frutillar: A place of relax, crafts and music
Hello!
I'm going to tell you about one of my favourite places I visited in my life. If you want, maybe you can visite it and spend a great time. So let's begin.
When I was younger I traveled to some places near my city. One of them was Frutillar, a little town 1 hour away of Osorno (going to the south), I traveled with my mother, my father and my brother when I was 8 or 9 years old (I don't remember the right age because we went to this place a lot of times).
We arrived to the town and we saw signals and scultures in the entry (some of them were like big musical notes and instruments), then we saw the lake and its little beach so my mother parked the car and we stand all the day here. We played in the sand, swam on the lake, saw the Osorno Volcano, eat sandwiches and drinking juice. There was a volleyball champeonship near us and a construction (it became the Lake Theater of the city, here played concerts and chorus for an event called "Musical weeks of Frutillar") so we saw them for a while.
Before we came back to our house we take a look on the streets, the crafts and the german colonial houses, some of them was a little bit like some colonial houses of Osorno, others was prettier (I thought them were like chocolate houses and I started to get a little hungry).
I liked Frutillar because is so quiet, pretty, without big buildings and with clean air. Also, is a great place for relaxing and leave the worries behind. I traveled to Frutillar a lot of times, sometimes on a car with my mother and my brother, sometimes on a bus on a train with my brother and my father. This is one of the places I miss the south, I hope I can visit this town again (and others near Osorno like Pto Varas, La Unión, Llanquihue, Pto Montt, Purranque and Valdivia).
P.S: Thanks google for the images :D

Hello! :welcoming:
Hello everybody!
I've created this blog for my english classes (yes, I got them at last :D) so, I'm going to introduce myself.
My name is Fernanda, I am 22 years old and I'm a graphic design student in University of Chile, this is my last semester before my practice, the IBM, my title project and all this things (I hope so and I'll do it). I live in Santiago since I started my superior education in 2008, before that I lived in Osorno, an small town in the south of Chile where the weather is rainy and windy... but if you don't like it you can come back in ten or twenty minutes and you can find a little bit of heat.
I love foreing languages (one of my school signatures was English and French) and I learnt english with music, videogames, animated shows and movies, the help of my brother, books and other things. Read forums and writting comments on networks like deviantart was helpful too.
I like music, design, reading, videogames, animation, comics, drawing, writing, photos, food and other things. I love rock and metal music but you can find a couple of Raphael and Sandro songs in my tracklist xD The things I hate are too sunny days, superficiality, stupidity, forget simple things (Where are my keys? Where is my transport card?) and have "bad luck periods" (falling, hitting things, bad health, dizziness...) and others (maybe I'm a little bit hateful...).
Well... this is my blog and I'll write all my tasks and works. And sorry for my lack of words, sometimes I can't write about me because a don't want to be so... self-refferent?
Take care! ^_^
